What Aurorix stores in your browser, which third parties load after you consent, and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR.

Short version
Aurorix has no accounts and no forms. The forecast tool runs in your browser and your choice of place is not sent to a server. Ads and analytics load only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
What the forecast tool stores
The place you select is written to the page address (for example ?place=abisko) so you can bookmark or share a link. It is not stored anywhere else. The hourly strip and the Kp chart are calculated in your browser from data that is already on the page.
Cookie choice
When you accept or reject non-essential cookies, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key adsites-consent-v1. It is needed to remember your decision and is not sent to us. Until you choose, advertising and analytics storage stay denied.
Advertising
If advertising is enabled and you accept, Google AdSense loads ads and may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure and personalise them. Google acts as an independent controller for that processing. Rejecting keeps ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation denied under Google Consent Mode. Analytics
If analytics is enabled and you accept, either Plausible Analytics or Google Analytics 4 loads, depending on how the site is configured. Without your consent no analytics script is added to the page.
Hosting and logs
The site is served from Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the service. Aurorix does not receive or combine this data.
Space weather and cloud data
NOAA and MET Norway data are downloaded by a scheduled job on GitHub and committed to the site's repository, then built into the pages. Your browser does not contact NOAA or MET Norway when you visit, so neither receives your IP address from this site.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal data and may object to processing. Because Aurorix does not hold your personal data, most requests are answered by pointing you to your browser settings. Write to jonathan.holmlidh@gmail.com for any request.
